2022 Character Display Comparison

The purpose of this comparision is to compare character display options. The functional requirements are:

Must support characters and numbers
Visible indoors with normal illumination
Large enough to be read without squinting (old eyes)
Minimal need for digital pins. I2C or SPI preferred.
3.3V and 5V logic safe
Note if suitable for continuous use
