AC & DC Power Switching (Relay)

 

Up to 250 VAC or DC @ 1200 Watts

The Adafruit Power Relay FeatherWing can switch up to:

  • 4.8 A resistive load at 250 VAC
  • 10 A resistive load at 120 VAC
  • 40 A load at 30 VDC
  • 86 A load at 14 VDC

Capacity above is approximately 50% of values shown above if load is inductive.

 

Up to 250 VAC or DC @ 60 Watts

The Adafruit Mini Relay FeatherWing(s) can handle the following resistive loads:

  • 0.6 A resistive load at 250 VAC
  • 0.3 A resistive at 110 VAC
  • 2 A at 30 VDC
  • 4.3 A at 14 VDC
  • 12 A at 5.0 VDC

Capacity above is approximately 50% of values shown above if load is inductive.

It comes in two versions:

  • If your application can tolerate the relay staying in the last position (ON/OFF) if power is lost, then choose the lower power consumption Adafruit Latching Mini Relay FeatherWing P/N 2923.   This FeatherWing requires you to set a pin HIGH for 10 ms to latch the relay, and and a second pin set HIGH for 10 ms to unlatch the relay.   The power consumed during during that 10 ms latching/unlatching is 50 mA.  
  • If you must have the relay default to normally open (NO) when power is lost, then choose the Adafruit Non-Latching Mini Relay FeatherWing P/N 2895.   This FeatherWing requires you to set a single pin HIGH constantly to latch the relay.   Setting the pin HIGH to latch the relay consumes 50 mA.
